Netflix’s hit thriller series You is back on our screens with the first half of season 4, and this time Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) is making a go of it in London as a university professor.

Previous seasons of You have given Joe a new obsession, but the fourth instalment deviates from the usual format, embroiling our protagonist in a murder mystery that points to the fact that he may not be the only killer in the capital.

As Joe sets out on a mission to uncover the killer’s identity, all of the brand new cast come under suspicion one by one, leading to a spectacular finale at the end of the first instalment.

There are five episodes in You season 4 part 1, but how many are there to follow in part 2? Read on to find out.

You season 4 will consist of 10 episodes, like its previous seasons.

This time round, though, the first five episodes landed on Netflix in the form of a Part 1, with the last five episodes scheduled to release later in 2023 in Part 2.

The titles for the first five episodes are as follows:

  • Joe Takes a Holiday
  • Portrait of the Artist
  • Eat the Rich
  • Hampsie
  • The Fox and the Hound

The fourth season sees Joe (played by Penn Badgley) adopt a new persona as Jonathan Moore, a literature professor who wants nothing more than to have a relatively peaceful holiday in London.

Our protagonist almost manages to keep a low profile until he finds himself in the role of reluctant detective as a new killer starts picking off the wealthy elite, one by one.

Badgley is joined in season 4 by a cast of brand new characters, including Ghosts' Charlotte Ritchie, EastEnders' Tilly Keeper and Ackley Bridge's Amy Leigh-Hickman.

When will You season 4 part 2 come out on Netflix?

Fans may want to slow down their viewing of season 4 as the episodes will land on Netflix in two batches, spread a month apart.

Part 1 – which consists of episodes 1 to 5 – was released on Thursday 9th February.

Part 2 – which consists of episodes 6 to 10 – will be released on Thursday 9th March.
